Botanicals

The copper-plate engravings below are by Pierre Jean Francois Turpin.  They are cut from many-volumed  Dictionnarie des sciences naturelles, published in Paris and Strassburg, between 1804 and 1830.  Although the plates are fairly small, they are engraved in remarkably fine detail and printed on beautiful wove paper which shows almost no age toning.

Size: Approximately 4.5 x 8.5 inches: Uncolored
Approximately 6.25 x 9.25 inches: Colored
