Charles Frederick Millspaugh (1)
Medicinal Plants

The chromolithographs below are cut from Charles Frederick Millspaugh's (1854-1923) classic but exceedingly  rare American Medicinal Plants: An Illustrated and Descriptive Guide to the American Plants Used as Homepathic Remedies: Their History, Preparation, Chemistry, and Physiological Effect, New York and Philadelphia, 1887. The plates were drawn by Millspaugh himself.  The plates are light age toned, with a white that tends toward ivory.
Size: 8 x 11 inches
