Knoop's Pomologie,
ou Description des Meilleures Sortes des Pommes et des Poires, etc.,
published circa 1790.
An expert in fruit trees, J. H. Knoop was the head
gardener for Maria
Louisa van Hessen Cassel. The plates, on water-marked paper, are in
excellent condition, but the plates were folded
vertically when they were incorporated in their
volumes.
