These beautiful chromolithographs are cut from Henry Eeles Dresser's classic History of the Birds of Europe, Including All the Species Inhabiting the Western Palaearctic Region, published by Dresser in London, 1871-81. This set took nearly twenty-five years to complete and represents one of the last great illustrated bird books containing hand-finished color illustrations on fine-woven paper. One of the rarer titles, it is estimated that only 240 original copies were published.
