These luminous plates are cut from Ulysses Prentiss Hedrick's (1870-1951) classic Plums of New York (Report of the New York Agricultural Experiment Station for the Year 1910), printed by J. B. Lyons, Albany, 1911.   Hedrick was Professor of Horticulture at the Michigan Agricultural College (Michigan State) from 1899 to 1905,   He directed the New York Agricultural Experiment Station at Geneva, New York from 1905 to 1937.

Bright, clean plates.  Almost no
age toning. 
The plates have a very fine-grained pebble texture.
