The attractive plates below are cut from the first edition of William Rickatson Dykes' (1877-1925) classic work Notes on the Tulip Species, published by Herbert Jenkins Ltd., London, 1930.  The work is illustrated by E. Ketherine Dykes.  The plates printed on a very finely textured matte surface.  They are clean and bright with almost no age toning.  Note that the plates are cropped in the photos below; the actual prints are whole and intact with all plate markings.
