The hand-colored copper-plate engravings below are cut from Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau's classic Traite des Arbres Fruiters, published in Paris in 1768.  Claude Aubriet (c. 1665-1742) and Magdeleine Basseporte (1701-1780),  Most plates were engraved by Francois Nicolas Martinet.  The paper is handmade, chained paper.  The texture does not show up well in the scans.  Age-toning is generally mild, and the prints are generally clean and free of foxing.  The margins are slightlly cropped in the scans.
