Devonian Fossils of New York (2)



These  lithographs are cut from state geologist John Mason Clarke's (1857-1925)  Early Devonic History of New York and Eastern North America (New York Museum Memoir 9), published in 1908 by the New York State Education Department.  The artist is G. S. Barkentin.  The prints are on heavy-weight paper and in remarkably good condition, fresh and bright, with little toning or evidence of handling.  Species are identified on an accompanying page.
