The chromolithographs below are cut from the first edition of Vero Shaw's classic Ilustrated Book of the Dog, published by Cassell, Petter, & Galpin (1881). The colored plates are based on paintings by Charles Burton Barber and Richard S. Moseley. The lithography is Vincent Brooks Day & Son. The plates are generally in very good or excellent condition, but, as with virtually all plates from this publication, there may be a little foxing or discoloration in the margins. Some of the plates have a faint library stamp in the bottom right corner. The stamp is outside the image area but may just touch on it. The prices reflect the presence of a stamp.
