Beverley Morris
British Game Birds and Waterfowl

The prints below are cut from Beverley Morris' British Game Birds and Waterfowl, published by Groombridge, London, 1855.  Beverley Morris was the younger brother of ornithologist Francis Orpen Morris.  Each illustration is an original, hand-colored woodblock print drawn by Benjamin Fawcett.  The plates resemble those in F. O. Morris' History of British Birds but are larger.  The plates evince mild toning consistent with their age and not as bright as the scans may suggest.
